Born and raised in Northern California, I grew up on the banks of Steelhead Rivers and
ponds full of Smallmouth Bass and Carp. I was born into a fishing family that was split
between Northern California,Washington State and Alaska. I learned to tie flys and cast
a fly rod very early on in life. As early as twelve years old I was shipped to Alaska
during the summer to spend time with my family. My cousin and I were allowed the
freedom to fish from dusk to dawn on and around the Kenai peninsula. Alaska is where
the seriousness of my passion started to resignate. From then on, having the Trinity and
Sacramento rivers within striking distance I would find rides to spend ways fishing and
not completing homework assignments.
I currently am the Owner of Swingwater Flyfishing. We are based out of the Northern
portion of California. I Specialize in guiding for Steelhead and Trout on the Lower
Trinity River, Klamath River, Sacramento River, Smith River and most coastal rivers in
Northen California. Another staple to our program is doing hosted travel to the Kvichak
River in the Bristol Bay region, Alaska for the worlds biggest, hottest Rainbows. All of
our guiding/hosting is done with a twho handed (spey) rod. I place a very big emphasis
on spey casting instruction and swing tactics.
